Trick Meter by Simeon Duncombe

download (1)

As I was scouring the web for a quick film fix! I went to one of my usual places to search for cinematic treasures (Shortoftheweek.com) and I stumbled upon this gem. At only 4 minutes long, this is another great example of why I enjoy short films so much. The story, albeit not a very complex one, still grabs your attention right from the jump. After a few seconds of watching a coin spinning we see a lonely skater who happens to ride past it but his attention was immediately drawn to the coin. Once the skater examines the coin and puts it in the meter the action commences. Continue reading

JaJa Gibore is a multi-talented individual. Jaja is in tune with every aspect and angle of music. This man lives, eats, and breathes his craft and it shows with every project he drops. Recently WiseMind Films caught up with JaJa in between his busy schedule and spoke about various topics. Mr.Gibore, as he is also known, doesn’t have any plans on slowing down and is making moves outside of just being an artist. He wants to have a legacy and his thought process is that of a young Mogul. JaJa Understands that although music is timeless, us as humans are not. We have an expiration date and JaJa wants to be remembered long after that! So be on the lookout for the full interview where we get a closer look at the Black Saesar, The Man behind the Myth, JaJa Gibore!

Short Film Pick of the Day! Breath by Toby Meakins

breathe

A short film, to me, does it’s job by leaving you hungry for just a little more. Due to the nature of a short film (any film 40 min or less), we dont get a full back story to our characters and often times we as viewers as dropped in a specific moment in the characters life. We get to see things unfold just as the characters do, essentially we get a slice of their life. That is exactly what a short film is, a slice of Life. We don’t always need those elaborate back stories to get into the film, or to understand the characters.

Un Enemigo Disconsiderado (A Thoughtless Enemy) || A WiseMind Original Short

This short film was shot about 2-3 years ago. It did not have a script or any real planning to it other than just pick up a camera and make a short. With limited resources and the ambition to make something, we came up with this. There are several reasons as to why we didn’t initially want to put this out there to be scrutinized and criticized to death (due to the poor lighting audio, and pretty much this being the 1st actual short film that WiseMind Films attempted), but then we recently found the footage in an old hard drive and decided to play around with it. It’s always good to revisit your work and compare to see how far you have come. It obviously isn’t going to win any awards or go viral but it’s a completed project that actually has potential to be expanded on. For those are following WiseMind Films you will eventually see with our future projects that they are all connected one way or another. Some of the hints and clues wont be so easy to pick up on but those who have a good eye will notice these little things.

“Earning your first penny on tsu” New video by WiseMind Films

What is all the hype with tsu? Well, tsu is a fresh new social media platform that pays you to post original quality content. It’s just like Facebook, IG, and twitter except the goal is to get users to engage one another and share great content. You are not going to get rich overnight with tsu, but honestly a few bucks to post awesome content is worth the time. According to tsu they differ from everyone else in the sense that they share the advertisement revenue with all its users. So the more people like your post, share it, and comment on it means the more eyes are on your page, which in turn means a bigger slice of the pie. Once a user has $100 in their tsu bank they can redeem the money, and tsu will send you a check. Yes it is real, some users have posted videos and pictures of their checks. ┬áSince it’s launch in October we have seen some users really soar and gain thousands of followers by simply sharing great content and not overwhelming their audience with spammy BS! For the average tsu user, who only has a few hundred friends and followers the road to $100 is a long one, if you find your niche on tsu and gain momentum then you will get to those hundreds alot faster. Since earning money on tsu can be so difficult, the moment when you see your first $0.01 in that account is an amazing moment. To think we spent all these years creating memes and trendy hash-tags for free on these other sites!

Here is a brand new comedy sketch commemorating that moment you earn your first penny on tsu! Brought to you by WiseMind Films!

#HowGuys read Emojis

WiseMind Films brings you a new skit that deals with today’s methods of communications. We have become so adapted to shortcuts that we even take shortcuts when we speak. Think about it, we would rather post a picture, meme, or emoji to describe what we are feeling as opposed to actually talking and describing WITH WORDS what we are going through. I’m pretty sure guys out there don’t really read emoji filled messages like this, but to be honest it took me a while to get used to it in the beginning. Think of this skit as a satirical view of this generations communication skills! Enjoy and don’t forget to check back for more videos, find us on FaceBook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube all under WiseMindFilms. Please like, share, and comment!
